Featured as MEGA FASHION HALL: 10 BEST New Restaurants @SMMegaMall in 2014!
Klook.comTRIPLE-O’s is the burger joint spinoff of the White Spot Family Restaurant in Canada, with international branches in China, Hongkong, Singapore, and now finally in Manila.
It’s named after its trademark “Triple-O” hamburger sauce (made of mayonnaise and hamburger relish). The name of the sauce itself came from the shorthand language used by the original order takers (known as carhops) to indicate the guests’ choice of extra mayo and/or relish. A Triple “O” on the order slip meant “plenty of everything”.
People who have travelled to or live in Canada are familiar with the brand and excited about the opening of the Manila branch.
It was admittedly my first time to try Triple-O’s. Here’s our experience…

Triple-O’s is located on the 3rd Floor of the Mega Atrium Building in SM Megamall.
It’s set up as a quick service, high-quality burger restaurant.
Pricing is the biggest drawback as a standard burger is already P200. The specialty burgers are priced at P310.
I love the green-themed casual ambiance of the place. There’s also a social media shoutout screen on one end.
Here’s a brief history of how White Spot’s founder developed Triple-O’s carhop model and eventually turned it into a separate Burger Fast Food resto.
Buttermilk Chicken (P265 – 2 pcs.) with drinks (+P100 upgrade to small milkshake) and fries.
The buttermilk chicken was good, but you have to eat the meat with the skin to fully appreciate the flavors (note that they don’t serve any gravy).
✮ Triple “O” Sauce. They recommend using the special Triple “O” sauce — mayonnaise extracted from canola oil with tomato sauce relish on top. Very addicting!
It’s an all-around sauce, not only for the chicken, but for the fries and burger as well.
✮ Vanilla Milkshake (Small – P150).
People rave about the milkshake because they use real ice cream from Big Scoop. Order the strawberry flavor mixed with fresh strawberries.
The spaghetti tasted more like Italian pasta — not sweet and with a stronger tomato taste. The boys finished it, which is a good sign. 🙂
✮ Monty Mushroom Burger (P310 – Burger Only).
The burger is big and tastes better than your usual fast food burger. The pickle refreshes the palate after every bite.
The Monty Burger uses 100% Canadian Beef (no extenders) on a bed of lettuce, topped with mushroom, cheese, and Triple-O Sauce, with a very soft, monay-like bun that has a neutral taste.
Chicken Supreme (P275 a la carte or P365 combo with fries and drink).
I recommend this healthier alternative — grilled 100% chicken breast burger.
The boys loved the grilled chicken burger…especially with the Triple-O secret sauce.
Overall, I like TRIPLE-O’s use of high quality ingredients, their signature sauce, and their very timely service.
I recommend the Monty Mushroom Burger, the Grilled Chicken Supreme, Triple-O Sauce, and the Milkshakes. 🙂 Budget at P300/head.
The only issue for me is the value proposition; the pricing is expensive compared to other fast food burger places. For a few additional pesos, you can already enjoy the eat-all-you-can restos. But it’s still worth checking out if you’re looking for something new in the SM Megamall area. 🙂
Welcome and congratulations to Triple-O’s for opening in Manila!
