The senior curator of Ayala Museum is murdered during Halloween night! With all four floors transformed into a crime scene, guests play the role of detectives to pinpoint whodunit!
Now on its third year, Ayala Museum opens it’s doors for another thrilling Halloween experience with the theme “Midnight Museum 3: Murder in the Museum”. In partnership with the experts behind the popular escape room, Mystery Manila.
Here’s our first-time experience spending Halloween at the Ayala Museum…
“The Midnight Museum 3: Murder in the Museum” opened it’s door last October 28, 2016 for a special one night Halloween event.
Mystery Brief:
The senior curator of Ayala Museum is murdered during his gallery rounds just hours before the annual Midnight Museum event held every Halloween. But there is something very suspicious and amiss as it seems that the curator is aware not only of the threat to his life but also who is behind it. But why keep it a secret? Is there something at stake, making him decide to keep the information to himself at the expense of his life?
Guests were given a private tour of the museum.
Everyone was brought to attention when we discovered the body of the curator, where the first clues from the crime scene were placed.
We were given case files with a small background of our primary suspects.
Every group was sent off to do interviews, find clues and evidence that could help piece together the identity of the perpetrator.
We were given pen and paper to help us right down the information we would gather.
Ayala Museum staffs were part of the actors. Players were expected to approach them and ask the right questions that’ll lead to a clue. You are welcome to ask as many questions as you want.
Our favorite part was the hidden storage area where we had to use a backlight to look for blood prints. The scary lady guarding the room gave us quite a fright!
The clues were hidden all over the museum; you need to have a sharp eye to find them.
We were given the crime sheet where we would write all our clues and our final answer to who the killer is.
With every clue we found, we were able to eliminate possible suspects!
Investigation Sattelites were set up on all floors for those who need help. (P.S. They will take add 15min on your time every time you ask for a hint.)
With two suspects left, we felt very confident about who the murderer was!
We only had one chance to complete all four physical evidence and pinpoint our murder suspect. So, did we find the killer? Almost? 🙁
We had three correct evidence out of four correct. (We promise the last evidence was very tricky! )
Overall, we had a fun and unique Halloween!
It’s a fun twist to the popular whodunit game! We loved how they incorporated the museum and the artworks to get people interested. It’s something detectives at heart would surely enjoy!
Guests were also treated with a free access to all four floors of the museum, a short horror movie screening, and performances after the game.
Cheers to Ayala Museum and Mystery Manila for a successful event!
