The Henry Hotel Cebu is located near the commercial district and IT Park.
Upon entering the lobby, you are welcomed by the red man statue, their most iconic character.
The staff are very friendly and look cute with their bowtie outfits.
Each wall and space engage people with tons of colors, murals, furniture, and pop art paintings.
You just can’t help but take pictures every time you step into the property.
We love the Alice in Wonderland-inspired tables and chairs at Rica’s, their in-house restaurant. We noticed each piece was carefully hand painted with different popular characters.
Rica’s Menu: Starter | Main Course, Pasta, Dessert | Drinks | Coffee
Breakfast is served at 6AM to 10:30AM daily. The breakfast buffet menu usually has the chef’s pasta, bacon, eggs, rice, sausage, fish, and greens; sweets like mouse, cassava, yogurt, cereals, and waffles; different kinds of bread and jams; coffee and juice.
They have an outdoor pool that’s 4 feet deep.
Each of their 38 rooms has different names featuring a unique décor, with every mural and quirky detail highlighting the theme.
Their rooms are quite spacious and range from Big (36 sqm), Large (42 sqm), X-Large (75 sqm), and (XX-Large) 108 sqm.
We stayed at the Mark My Words room (big), which was carefully hand painted by a Cebuano talent, the late Mark Luzon.
The Marilyn Monroe (big) is quite chic and perfect for a staycation with the girls.
The bathroom is sleek and fits the theme…but it doesn’t have a lock!
Note: If you want privacy, you can ask the staff for your preferred arrangement. 🙂
They provide basic toiletries on recycled containers.
I can’t help but take home their witty slippers.

“The Lovers” Parisian-inspired room (big) is the most popular, which couples find very romantic and picturesque.

The 75sqm (XL) room has a bigger living room area…

…with some of them having a pedestal bathtub!
Overall, we loved our stay at The Henry! This wasn’t our first time checking-in, and it won’t be our last. Each stay just offers a different experience.
Here you get a perfect mix of European, vintage, industrial, and rustic design. What’s more is you can request a specific room depending on your mood and style sensibilities. 🙂
No one furniture or art piece is alike. These are part of the owner’s collection and features pieces from different countries.
Uniqueness is definitely what sets The Henry apart from the other hotels. Highly recommendable on your next stay in Metro Cebu.

P.S. The Henry Hotel group has different concepts per property. The Henry Hotel in Manila is a modern-vintage, 34-room boutique hotel designed by Eric Paras, which sets the bar for adaptive reuse of Manila’s heritage houses.
