Dedet de la Fuentes, popularly known as The Lechon Diva, successfully introduced Pepita’s Lechon to Cebuano’s and Boholanos via the annual celebration of Pasko sa Bluewater. This event kicks off the Christmas celebration and celebrates the founding anniversary of Bluewater Resorts.
One Cebuano even commented that Cebu Lechon finally met its match. It’s a great compliment from the Lechon Capital of the Philippines.
Here is the photo essay of our Pasko sa Bluewater dinner experience at Bluewater Sumilon …
Sumilon Island
Bluewater Sumilon is one of the most beautiful island resorts in the Philippines located at the Southern tip of Cebu Island near Oslob.

We stayed in premier deluxe room #21 with two queen beds and a sofa bed facing the ocean view.
The bathroom is quite spacious for two people to use it at the same time.
Time stands still as the ocean view mesmerizes and lulls you to sleep.
This is the kind of trip I look forward to just enjoying a lazy Cebuano breakfast with super friends.
I’m happy to be able to travel and work in places with amazing views and my special someone.
Pasko sa Bluewater Dinner
Dinner started with a medley of street food marinated and served with salted egg.
Isaw made from clean chicken intestines is always the best 🙂
Our favorite appetizer was the kinilaw na bangsi or raw meat from the flying fish cooked in vinegar.
Instead of smores, why not have our Cebuano snacks, marshmallow and Pinoy sauces.
The picnic dinner setup was beautiful with a cool breeze and great conversations.
A healthy stuffing of vegetables for this big Cebuano lechon with optional lumpia sauce.
The Lechon is also served with Honey Pineapple, Honey Chili, or Siling Labuyo sauces.
Hiplog which is shrimps in salted egg sauce is always a best seller in the buffet.
Best dish for the night is Chicken Halang Halang ramen inspired by Bohol.
Kudos to the Culinary Team of Bluewater Sumilon for the awesome dinner!
For dessert, Super Suman adorned with our favorite Pinoy sweets — chocnut, ube and yema.
Ending the night with The Godfather cocktail made from Disaronno and Black Label.
