Welcome to Apsaras Tribe, possibly the newest and most modern looking resort in an island full of Filipino and Balinese inspired resorts and hostels.
This brand new surfer-hub inspired resort is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Cloud 9 and is located right beside tourism road in General Luna.
Surrounded by nothing but hectares and hectares of coconut trees, Apsaras is a standout resort that definitely deserves all the attention.

Looking at it from outside, you’d think twice if Apsaras Tribe really is a hotel. The facade itself looks more like a modern bar than a resort.
But upon entering the property you’d be surprised by a delightful landscape of green and blue hues.
At first glance, you’d assume that the neatly designed structures are made out of empty shipping containers.
But turns out these cozy looking American-inspired rooms are made out of mostly wood and metal.
It certainly has that urban and modern looking hotel vibe to it that this tiny island seems to lack.
Not to mention, the brand new half a hectare resort is the only resort to have 2 swimming pools.
One of which is a 100-meter wave pool that goes through and under the cabins.
The pool itself has two massive water pumps on both ends that generates waves!
Perfect for children and adults that are young at heart.
Aside from freshwater pools, Apsaras also features a 200-meter beachfront.
The place to be if you just want to walk on the shore or just chill under the coconut trees.
Oh, and did I mention that they have an awesome rooftop that links most of the resort by a sky bridge?! How cool is that!
The rooftop even has an overlooking view of the ocean where you can hang out with your friends.
Or you can have your lunch prepared there too.
or maybe you can even go stargazing at night!
As for our lunch, we mostly ordered Filipino / western food. My favorite was their crispy pata which was served perfectly golden and crisp.
We also ordered a couple of cocktails that were perfect for those long sunny days on the island.
Do note that the bar on the 2nd floor is open till midnight! Perfect if you want to have a night out with friends. They also serve specialty drinks and shakes.
Breakfast is part of the room package – 3 choices for breakfast which you can order from the restaurant (Continental, American, and Filipino)
There are 39 rooms in total, each characterized by a fusion of contemporary combined Eastern and Western modern designs.
All rooms feature a private terrace with impressive Pacific Ocean views that can be enjoyed from cozy daybeds.
I also like how the bathrooms are well equipped while staying sleek and modern!
Rooms are also provided with room service, keycard access and a complimentary tin bottle for outdoor use.
Apsaras first opened last July 25, 2018, and we stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.
Overall, I really enjoyed our stay at Apsaras Tribe and we are thankful that we are lucky enough to be the first ones to visit the resort.
The ambiance of the place is also great. New, cool, and very relaxing. The staff members were also very professional and friendly. Not to mention the place is also very easy to find and easy to get to.
But what I really like is how the hotel is so close to the sea; we can simply sit on the beach and enjoy the sea breeze by day or watch the stars at night on their rooftop on our sleepwear.
