High Street Cafe recently launched its signature stay-in retail line featuring the restaurant’s signature dishes such as Laksa & Beef Cheeks among others.  These dishes are made available at home through individual kits that consist of pre-cooked ingredients that will surely create delicious moments in just 7-minutes. Other signature stay-ins to watch out for are Nenek Chicken Satay, Wang’s Wonton Soup, and Hearty Double Boiled Soup.

METRONOME is a modern French restaurant in Makati by Joël Robuchon-trained Chef Miko Calo, RJ Galang of Bakere/Man Eat Manila fame, Restaurateur Elbert Cuenca and Alain Borgers, formerly from the Shangri-La Group.

This is the much-anticipated restaurant opening of 2019 in Manila because of the rave reviews about Chef Miko’s food in the underground supper clubs, not to mention the place was featured in Chris Dwyer’s CNN article—Great plates: 15 new restaurants to try in 2019.

MADE NICE is a New York-inspired restaurant serving Western cuisine with Asian influences. It’s by the Greatful Group made up of young New York-trained Chefs–Jack Flores (29) and wife Gabbi Ramos Flores (22), Toby Panlilio (26), Wren Go (27), and Raulito Fores (26).

Gabbi is the daughter of Neil of Neil’s Kitchen fame, while Raulito comes from the Fores clan of Mamou. It’s inspiring to see the next generation of restaurateurs going back to Manila and contributing to the flourishing vibrant dining scene in their homeland.

The name of the resto is inspired by Daniel Humm and Will Guidara’s “Make It Nice” restaurant group.

Aside from his first food hall concept in the Philippines, he is also the owner of Le Du, a Michelin-starred Thai restaurant awarded as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2019 and 2020 consecutively, and Baan, awarded by Michelin’s Bib Gourmand

I highly recommend their sour, spicy, and perfectly creamy shrimp Tom Yum Soup and flavor-packed  Shrimp Paste Rice.
