FELIZ Boracay: 10 Happy Reasons to Stay

Read the Feature: The Best Restaurants in Boracay 2021

We’ve been featuring our love for Boracay over the years but this Boracay trip was quite special because it was our first travel to the island after the pandemic lockdown. It was made special with our blissful stay at Feliz Boracay, an 80-room boutique hotel by Elizalde Hotels & Resorts.

Here are 10 happy reasons to stay at Feliz on your next trip to the New Boracay:

1. Iconic Door

Feliz Boracay welcomes you with a high-ceiling al fresco lobby with the biggest door in the island, now an iconic happy spot in Boracay. It makes you feel at home, safe and happy that you made your right hotel choice.

2. @ Center of Boracay

The hotel and its plaza is strategically located at the center of D’Mall along Station 2, White Beach. The plaza is a cool open place to meet with friends and a take-off point for your Boracay food trip or night life.

Literally the best restaurants in Boracay like Cyma, Boracay, Aria and Lemoni Cafe are around the corner.

3. Feliz Suite ❤️

We loved the Feliz Suite, 72 sqm of space good for 2 adults and 1 child with a king bed and 2-day bed configuration.

It’s perfect for honeymooners, with a spacious restroom complete with bath tub, his/hers sinks, separate shower and toilet.

(Note: Due to pandemic protocol restrictions, hotels are not doing daily make-up of the room, but you can request for additional toiletries or fresh towels when needed.)

4. Work 💪🏽 from Feliz

Sometimes, you don’t want to go out and just want to hang with friends or make lovey dovey on the day bed while binge watching movies.

Conducive for work, the internet is fast and workable. You’ll also love the interior as backdrop for your zoom session.

5. La Plaza Paella & Churros

One of the best places for paella and Spanish food on the island where you can enjoy them in an al fresco plaza setting.

Don’t miss the churros with a perfectly crisp crust outside, a chewy inside and served with chocolate and crema.

6. Feliz Breakfast!

Loved their house-made Wagyu tapa, chicken tocino and daing na bangus served family style.

We would take a long lazy breakfast while working remotely with socially distant tables and a good Boracay breeze.

7. Roof Deck Pool vs. Beach

It was cool to hang out at the pool during sunset with the quiet serenity of the Station 2 view.

(Note: Buenavista is still closed and hopefully you can enjoy cocktails with the sunset view during the summer peak.)

In the morning, head over to the white beach Station 2 area, which is a compromise on white sand quality, depth of the beach swimming area and close proximity to the happenings on the island.

(Note: Only thing you have to do is take a short walk through D’Mall and be greeted with island hopping offers.)

8. Boracay Sound Healing & Vibration Therapy

En Calvert of Tirta Spa has pioneered sound healing with the therapeutic sound of Tibetan singing bowls and pure crystal quarts to heal the exhausted or heavily laden or burdened mind (without the need to touch you).

It was so relaxing with the different sounds vibrating throughout your body that you’ll eventually fall sleep. It also had a soothing hypnotic effect with different scent sensations that relieve your physical and mental stress and dispel negative energy!

You’ll feel the relaxing massage of the sound vibration all over your body from this pure crystal quartz.

(Note: Snoring is an optional part of the sound sensation, so make sure to choose the right person to join you.)

9. European Tropical Playa Vibe

The lobby design is perfect, meeting standards of both safety and luxury among travelers during this pandemic.

The hotel is boxy like a Spanish Casa, but inside they have water elements and a tropical tree to soften and relax you.

La Plaza has a cool modern Spanish ambiance, but most people prefer eating outside in the patio or plaza.

10. Happy & Safe Service

Thanks to Chef Jessa for the good quality of the Spanish food at La Plaza, operated by Enderun Hospitality Group.

Despite their limited staff, they still make sure to arrange an in-room breakfast and happily attend to all your needs.

Final Thoughts

Thank you Feliz Boracay for the assurance of safety and for all the happy moments during our stay! The location is just perfect for foodies and for those who want a little bit of night life during their stay. The plaza is a great meeting point with friends. Book the Feliz Suite for those days you just want to have an intimate gathering with family or friends.

Service by Enderun is happy and professional but sometimes slow and uncoordinated due to limited staffing. Hope they can open their Buenavista roof deck cocktail bar for guests to enjoy the sunset in the pool area with acoustic or dj music.
