What greets you is The Great Room, a grand lounge area where the check-in counters are located and where you can hang out or work with FREE stable wifi while you wait for check in time.
We stayed in a Deluxe Room, King with a connected Deluxe Room, Twin with a sunset view room.
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable that you just want to lie down all day, and there’s a lounge sofa where you can also sleep or hangout while working.
The restroom is a toilet and bath/shower with complete toilet amenities. There is a glass wall that separates the show area and the bed area, just in case you want to see what’s happening.
The swimming pool area on the second floor feels like you are covered by clouds. There is a lap pool 4ft high which Yugi could manage without a problem and two kiddie pool areas.
You have to reserve your time slot to make sure there’s no crowding in the pool area.
Wu-Xing Chinese Restaurant
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Pampanga and definitely worth the drive from Manila or the stopover on your way to the north.

Wu Xing’s specialty is ๐ฏTraditional Wood-Roasted Beijing Duckย by Chef Raymond Yeung cooked using star apple firewood to bring out the flavors and make the meat tender and the skin crispy.

+ add Php300 for the third way: Minced Duck wrapped in romaine lettuce or Fried Duck in salt and pepper.

Goji Kitchen+Bar All-Day Buffet
Goji Kitchen + Bar is one of the top buffet restaurants in Pampanga and offers all-day dining with interactive stations where they can customize and cook to your liking.
The best buffet variety is during weekend dinners.
Of course, our favorite was the Pampanga Sisig Counter where they cook it fresh and you can customize to make it more spicy. There’s also a Sinigang Station, a Noodle Soup Station, a Barbecue Station, Fresh Seafood Station, and Dessert Station. Loved the Dimsum and the variety of food options which is good value for the buffet.
There are two private rooms you can book for the family for added privacy and safety, especially when you remove your mask while eating.
We loved the grilled meats, seafoods, and everything salmon. The chefs in the kitchen are eager to help you, and can always serve the food freshly cooked from the kitchen.

Instagrammable Spots
Don’t miss to go up the 17th floor at Smoki Moto around 5pm to catch a magnificent view of the sunset.
The scene is breathtaking with the sun setting over the mountains and a bird’s eye view of the golf course. You’ll feel closer to the clouds here.
This is the signature photo spot in Smoki Motto with the glass walls and glass floor, like floating in the air with the clouds.
In the afternoon, the ballroom function room area is a great runway spot for your IG reels or photos with the long shadows from the afternoon sun.
Don’t miss to take a souvenir photo with the iconic Atin Ku Pung Singing installation piece as backdrop.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the family loved the Clark Marriott staycation, especially the boys. Who wouldn’t love the staycation feel of a 5 star hotel in the city with complete amenities and attentive service but with a Kapampangan vibe? The staff is friendly, and there’s a mix of flight attendants, US armed forces, and casino clientele that keeps the place vibrant.
Make sure to reserve a table at Wu Xing for your special Peking duck celebration and at least book a Goji Kitchen brunch or dinner during your staycation. Parking is free and easily accessible in the basement.
