ROOM 402: TWO-BEDROOM PANORAMIC

The property has both a hotel and a residential side, so be sure to book a residential suite for your staycation. Our room offered a panoramic seaside view, though, unfortunately, much of the area is currently being reclaimed, creating pockets of artificial islands.

Our two-bedroom suite comfortably fit our family of six with an extra bed. The master bedroom had its own bathroom with a bathtub, and the suite featured a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and a laundry machine. I especially loved the filtered water option, eliminating the need for plastic bottles. The toiletries were high-quality, provided by Appelles Apothecary & Lab.

Yes, you can go out onto the balcony to breathe in the fresh air during sunset or for your selfies. It’s the perfect spot to watch the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition in the Mall of Asia area.
CYAN MODERN KITCHEN

The kids love the breakfast at Cyan Modern Kitchen, named after the hotel owner’s favorite color. We enjoy the bay view while having breakfast, even though the reclamation is a bit of a drawback.
We dined here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout our stay. Here are some buffet tips:

BREAKFAST. Even our kids were satisfied with the breakfast—it’s definitely worth pausing intermittent fasting to enjoy with the family. It offers all the right choices, including tapsilog favorites and omelettes, but I personally love the dried fish like dilis, danggit, and tinapa. As long as there’s unlimited Yakult, taho, and yogurt, breakfast is a happy meal.
I also appreciate the variety and how the serving sizes are thoughtfully portioned to minimize waste, ensuring just enough for everyone to enjoy. They make sure to offer a good selection of salads, hot soup, and Pinoy bread, along with an Indian section for exotic flavors and vegetarian options.

LUNCH was specially prepared to celebrate the Lunar New Year with an abundant spread of meat carvings, Hong Kong roasts like char siu and Peking duck, baked salmon, lamb biryani, and unlimited salmon sashimi. The meal began with a traditional Yee Sang Toss, setting the tone for a feast rich in symbolic dishes and all the good luck you’ll need to usher in the new year.

DINNER. What we love about dinner is the paluto section, where you can enjoy unlimited grilled salmon belly. The meat carvings, Hong Kong roasts, and Japanese sashimi options are still available, adding to the feast. We also enjoyed the pizza selections and the make-your-own pasta station. The desserts are the same as at lunch—halo-halo, crepes, house-made ice cream, and a variety of cakes served in small slices.
ROOFTOP SUNSET

EDGE POOL BAR. The rooftop pool, located on the 11th floor, offers a great vantage point of the bay, with a breathtaking panoramic view of the sky and sunset. The water is refreshingly cold, making it perfect for summer and daytime swims. It’s shallow enough for casual wading, yet spacious enough for laps—and even a fun game of Marco Polo with the kids.
It’s best to visit in the mid-afternoon until sunset, where you can order your favorite drink. The menu is diverse enough for the kids to enjoy shakes or mocktails, while the parents can indulge in cocktails or beer.

BLK 12 CAFE | BAR. This café serves as a co-working space in the morning and transforms into a quiet bar at night, perfect for one-on-one time with your kids during your staycation.
Grab some pica-pica or pulutan, or try their crispy churros with indulgent chocolate sauce. The sangria and coffee are great, especially for an after-dinner treat, and they’re open until 10 PM.
FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, our stay at Lanson Place Mall of Asia was both comfortable and welcoming. Unlike the formal atmosphere of a traditional 5-star hotel, it offered a more relaxed yet refined vibe. The residential suite was perfect, and the fully equipped kitchen, along with the availability of filtered water, truly enhanced the home-like experience. I also loved the signature green color of the Lanson Place brand.
Breakfast is an essential part of any staycation, and Lanson Place did not disappoint, offering a great variety of Filipino breakfast selections. Don’t miss the breathtaking sunset ambiance at the edge pool deck—it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail with family. The Mall of Asia is conveniently within walking distance, making it easy to shop for clothes or pick up work essentials.
Highly recommended during Chinese celebrations due to its Hong Kong-based heritage, as well as for those attending concerts or entertainment events at the MOA Arena.

P.S. One of our favorite moments was enjoying a midnight snack of spicy ramen and a yogurt drink from 7/11, shared over heartfelt family conversations in the comfort of our room.
