BRICK CORNER: Bet You Haven’t Tried Manila’s Best Indian Restaurant? (According to the Michelin Guide)

Brick Corner is now officially recognized by the MICHELIN Guide as the Best Indian Restaurant in Manila, and we finally got to try it — we can confidently say we agree with the recommendation. To be honest, when we first heard the name “Brick Corner,” we assumed it wasn’t an authentic Indian restaurant because of its generic-sounding name. So we stuck to our usual go-tos for Indian cravings: RICH, Indus, Swagat, New Bombay, or Mantra.

But we were wrong. Completely wrong.

Their Butter Chicken is arguably the best in the metro — rich, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Every dish feels homemade and thoughtfully crafted, from the lassis and raitas to the freshly made breads. Even the Indian desserts are good.

Here’s your sign to try the Best Indian Restaurant in Manila (according to the MICHELIN):

ABOUT BRICK CORNER

Brick Corner, a modern Indian resto-bar in Forbes Town, BGC, earned the MICHELIN Guide Philippines 2026 Bib Gourmand, becoming the first and only Indian restaurant recognized in the country—an impressive achievement reached in just 16 months.

(The best seats on the ground floor are at this corner table.)

Brick Corner was founded with the vision of showcasing the richness of Indian cuisine in a modern, inclusive setting — creating a gathering place where traditional recipes, slow-cooked curries, and fragrant biryanis are enjoyed in a warm, contemporary space.

(Second-floor atmosphere)

The brick walls at Brick Corner represent comfort and resilience — values that have guided the team throughout their journey. Its true strength lies in its authenticity, warmth, and the element of unexpectedness it brings to modern Indian dining.

From the start, Brick Corner set out to break the usual stereotypes of Indian restaurants. Its design combines brick textures, modern lighting, and a cozy, elevated atmosphere, complemented by soft, soothing music (no Bollywood tracks here) to create a relaxed, contemporary dining experience.

Owned by Masala Food Ventures Inc., Brick Corner combines authentic Indian flavors with modern design and warm hospitality. Renowned for soulful renditions of classics like Butter Chicken, Mutton Bhuna Masala, Prawn Karwari, Dal Makhani, and Goan Fish Curry, the restaurant elevates traditional dishes while thoughtfully introducing them to the Filipino palate.

STARTERS

Butter Milk 250 | Sweet Lassi 250 | Mango Lassi 280

We love the lassis here — not overly sweet, light, and perfect for balancing the spiciness of the food. Mango remains our favorite, but the sweet lassi is a refreshing choice for a cleaner taste.

Love this complimentary crisp papad, served with a dip of mint chutney and yogurt.

Rose Lassi 260

Try the Rose Lassi — it stands out with its delicate floral flavor and pretty pink hue.

Dahi Puri 290
Puffed puris topped with spiced onion and tomato along with yogurt and chutneys

This is far better than the Pani Puri and best enjoyed in one bite to savor the crisp shell and the burst of flavors from the yogurt, chutneys, and onions/tomato.

Paneer Tikka 660
Grilled cottage cheese cubes marinated in spices

Pillowy soft grilled cottage cheese, served in cubes — perfect as a light appetizer.

Chicken Tikka 685
Tandoori-marinated chicken, flame grilled

You can really taste the smokiness — best enjoyed hot, served with their mint yogurt dip.

Palak Patta Chaat 425
Fried spinach leaves layered with chutneys and yogurt.

Our favorite appetizer— crispy, homemade spinach leaves topped with chutney and yogurt, with no spice.

MAIN DISHES

We tried the classic Indian dishes that Filipinos crave – definitely worth going back for.

Butter Chicken 725
Tandoori boneless chicken in creamy tomato sauce with butter
Raita Cucumber 260
Curd mixed with spices and fresh cucumber

The Butter Chicken is rich in a thick tomato gravy, yet not too heavy. Its buttery flavor is unique and addictive, thanks to the spices. Pair it with raita to cleanse the palate and balance the creaminess.

Cheese Garlic Naan 200
Stuffed with melted cheese and garlic

Make sure to order this in advance — the garlic naan, filled with oozing cheese, is irresistible and perfect for dipping into the Butter Chicken.

Goan Fish Curry 755
Coconut-based tangy fish curry with homegrown local spices

This curry makes a great alternative dip for the breads, and the fish is of excellent quality, perfectly absorbing the flavors of the sauce.

Biryani (Mutton) 790
Fragrant rice dish layered with spices and marinated ingredients

We’re craving a biryani as good as this one — packed with generous, flavorful mutton pieces. This fragrant rice also pairs perfectly with the curries and Butter Chicken sauce.

Chapati 100
Soft Indian whole wheat flatbread

This feels like a healthier option since it uses wheat bread, and it’s easy to cut into pieces for dipping into the curry.

Pudina Paratha 140
Flavored Flaky multi-layered bread

Their paratha is authentic, with flaky, multi-layered goodness — good for curry dipping.

Tip: Order a variety of breads for a fun mix-and-match experience with the different sauces.

DESSERTS

Masala Tea 180 / Dirty Chai (Iced Chai) 200

We love the hot chai, made with their unique blend — perfect for cleansing your palate after the curries, chutneys, and yogurt. The “Dirty” version, served over ice, is equally delicious and offers a refreshing twist on classic chai.

Burfi 200
Indian milk-based sweet squares

This tastes like a caky pastillas — not too sweet, and easy to slice into bite-sized pieces to last longer. Loved this

Gulab Jamun 200
Deep-fried milk dumpling in sweet syrup

The typical Gulab Jamun — sweet, syrup-soaked balls — and surprisingly, I really liked it; not overly sweet.

Malai Kulfi 450
A rich, dense Indian frozen dessert (Indian style ice cream)

You can tell the ice cream is well-made because it doesn’t melt easily. It has a creamy, peanutty flavor and completely changed my perspective on how other Indian desserts are often prepared.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, this was the perfect birthday celebration for our son, Aidan, at a Michelin Bib–awarded restaurant. I loved the unexpected surprise of a modern Indian setting serving home-cooked quality food, carefully crafted from family recipes and authentic spices straight from India.

We recommend starting with Dahi Puri, Palak Patta Chaat, and the Lassis. For the mains, go family-style with Butter Chicken and Garlic Cheese Naan, along with the Mutton Biryani and Goan Fish Curry for its flavorful sauce. Add Chapati orParatha for a variety of breads to dip, and cleanse your palate with their chai tea. For dessert, don’t miss the Malai Kulfi and Burfi. Everything was absolutely delicious — budget around Php 1,000 per person.

Congratulations to the Brick Corner team on a well-deserved MICHELIN Bib Gourmand award!
