about

TARA! Filipino Diner BGC is the second branch of TARA!, following the original in White Plains, Quezon City. Inspired by classic diner culture, it brings a distinctly Filipino touch through its flavors, humor, and warm hospitality.

🕖 Open daily, 7AM to 10PM

TARA! BGC is a bolder, distinctly local take on the original White Plains diner, with new dishes, burgers, craft coffee, and cocktails designed for the neighborhood’s all-day dining scene. The look is all retro diner: a teal and red facade, terrazzo floors, teal booths and glowing pendant lamps.

Come hungry and come with your barkada. The shelves are stocked with board games like Catan, Telestrations and Exploding Kittens, and the placemats are printed with coloring conversation starters, so a meal easily turns into a long, lingering hangout.

TARA! was co-founded by Millie de Luna-Daluz, CEO of Aluyan Food Group, with a vision of creating a familiar yet playful neighborhood brunch spot. Leading the culinary team is Chief Culinary Officer Chef Datu Shariff Pendatun, who began his career as a corporate chef at Unilever before moving on to lead Asia Pacific culinary development at Kerry Ingredients and Flavors. He also represented the Philippines at ASEAN Day 2023 in Bangkok.
SNACKS AND STARTERS

TARA! Longga Nachos ₱425
Jack ‘n Jill Tostillas, garlic longganisa, cheese sauce, garlic aioli and salsa
Tostillas chips loaded with cheese sauce, garlic, salsa, and crumbled garlic longganisa for a deliciously Filipino take on nachos. Served straight in its wrapper, it feels like sharing merienda at home with your barkada—ubos agad in one sitting!

Firecrackers ₱285
Sisig in lumpia wrapper, green chili, cheese, garlic aioli, pickled onion and house vinegar
Crispy sisig with chili packed like triangolo fireworks that burst with flavor in every bite, dip in vinegar for a bright, tangy finish.

SPAM Chips n’ Dips ₱355
Crispy SPAM chips with your choice of 3 dips: Caesar, calamansi, adobo aioli, spicy adobo aioli, Mang Tomas or cheese
The Spam chips are a bit too thin for my liking—I’d prefer them thicker or cut like fries. Still, it’s fun to dip in the different dips.

Dirty Popcorn ₱185
Caramel popcorn, bacon bits, chicken skin and candied cashews
A good pica-pica, best enjoyed fresh while the popcorn and chicken skin are still crispy, as they tend to turn chewy once cold.
BURGERS AND SANDWICHES

Rainbow Cheesemelt ₱385
Mixed cheese on rainbow toast with tomato dip
Is this the most Instagrammable dish on the table?! Rainbow-colored bread with oozing cheese in the middle, best enjoyed dipped in tomato sauce. Ahiya would absolutely love this.

The Breakfast Club ₱395
Golden pancakes, bacon, whipped whole eggs, cheese and maple syrup
A fun upgrade to the usual pancake sandwich, packed with bacon, eggs, and cheese—perfect for breakfast on the go!

Manila Piña Burger ₱485
Beef patty, secret sauce, charred pineapple and cheese on a brioche bun
A classic diner burger with charred pineapple, adding a distinctly Filipino sweet-savory twist to every bite!
ALL-DAY BREAKFAST AND MAINS

The Big Brekky ₱495
Tapa, tocino bacon and longganisa trifecta with garlic rice, 2 sunny side eggs, house vinegar, piñachara and pickled onion
I still remember trying their original tapa from Tapakasarap! It has come a long way since then. Go for this Big Brekky and enjoy all your Filipino breakfast favorites—tapa, tocino, and longganisa—without having to choose. A satisfying all-in-one breakfast that I’d happily come back for!

TARA! Roast Beef ₱685
Slow-cooked roast beef, gravy, garlic rice and charred mixed vegetables
The most premium main on the menu, topped with crispy potato strings and served with garlic rice. The roast beef is tender and flavorful, with fatty bits that add an extra layer of umami. Sarap nito — definitely another dish worth coming back for!

Pinoy Chicken BBQ ₱485
Grilled chicken, Pinoy-style BBQ sauce, garlic rice, piñachara, pickled onion and peanut sauce
Their take on Aristocrat-style charcoal-grilled chicken barbecue served with Java rice. The BBQ sauce leans sweet, but the peanut sauce and a bit of piñachara help balance the flavors. Ok lang-
PANCAKES AND DESSERTS

Party Purple Pancake ₱295
Party-sized ube flapjack, house maple butter, dulce de leche and ube syrup
TARA!’s most recognizable signature and the showstopper of the table! Pour the dulce de leche over the ube syrup for that IG-worthy moment. A bit too sweet for my taste, though, so I’d ask for the ube syrup on the side and let everyone pour their own.

Belgian Champorado ₱325
Belgian chocolate sticky rice porridge, evaporated milk, full cream milk powder and tuyo dust
Another White Plains signature, and we absolutely loved this! A grown-up take on champorado made with Belgian chocolate, with the fun option of adding tuyo dust for a salty contrast or milk dust for extra creaminess. Customize every bite to your liking!

Pastillas Soft Serve ₱120
Sweetened milk candy ice cream in a cup or sugar waffle cone
Pastillas reimagined as soft-serve ice cream, satisfying that distinctly Filipino craving for something sweet and creamy.
COFFEE AND DRINKS

We ordered the Flat White Rabbit (₱225) and Hojicha Oat Latte (₱225). Both were quite good, though a little sweeter for our taste.
