The Opening of Mercato Centrale

MORNING MERCATO CENTRALE RE-OPENS AT ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION IN BONIFACIO GLOBAL CITY!

Your favorite morning food and organic market is making a comeback at its original location inside Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig!  The organizers of the successful Midnight Mercato Centrale recently announced that the Morning Mercato Centrale will return to the corner of 30th street and 9th avenue  (beside Bonifacio High Street and across Serendra) every Saturday and Sunday (7am-2pm) starting November 17.

We are very grateful to BGC management for allowing us to return to the location where Mercato Centrale all began!” shared Anton Diaz, co-founder of Mercato Centrale and the man behind the popular food and travel blog www.ourawesomeplanet.com. “This will give us a better opportunity to serve the BGC residential community and the surrounding Makati and Taguig villages.

Originally inspired by the outdoor markets of Mercato Centrale in Florence and the Farmers Market in San Francisco, Morning Mercato Centrale is an innovative weekend lifestyle market with a wide array of certified organic and all-natural fruits, vegetables and meat products, natural home, bath and beauty products, locally-made arts and crafts and – of course – unique food finds from home-based cooks, chefs and food entrepreneurs!

We’re honored that Morning Mercato has become the first home of many popular food entrepreneurs who have since become extremely successful on their own!” added co-founder and entrepreneurial advocate RJ Ledesma. He counts Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Merry Moo, Cristina’s Inutak, ManilaQ’s Bagwang, Angus Beef Tapa Lady, Big Bob’s Charcaol grilled burgers as just some of the many success stories that have come out of Morning Mercato Centrale.

Aside from the great food choices in Morning Mercato, we’re also proud of our extensive selection of certified organic and all-natural produce and meats in the market.” said co-founder Vanessa Pastor-Ledesma.  “We’ve worked with trusted names from the Organic Producers Trade Association (OPTA) like Costales Nature Farms and Pamora Free-Range Chicken Farms to provide us with great, fresh finds for health-conscious marketogoers.” Other organic vendors are Food Bowl Market, Herbana Farms, Tawid Kalinga Ifugao Heirloom Rice, Azchia-Chiabia among others.

We also proudly offer locally-produced organic and natural home, bath, beauty products like Human Nature, Milea, Leyende, Messsy Bessy and many more.” added co-founder  Rache Diaz.

The re-launched Morning Mercato Centrale will offer additional services to marketgoers that include:
  • Helpful take-out sizes for marketgoers who want to bring their favorite Mercato food finds to parties, gathering and other activities.
  • Pre-packed, ready-to-cook products for marketogers who want to enjoy the great Mercato dining experience during the rest of the week
  • Delivery services for Mercato food vendors within the Makati and Taguig area.
  • Pre-order list for organic/all-natural fruits, vegetables and meats.
  • Payments via credit card.
To complement the Morning Mercato experience, they also offer:

  1. Hi, how are you? This is similar to Farmers Markets in San Francisco Bay Area. Usually every month or so, we have Farmers Markets in anywhere in San Francisco Bay Area like Daly City, Fremont, Newark, San Jose, San Mateo, Oakland, and Hayward that sells fresh fruits and vegetables especially during harvest time like from Spring to Fall.

  2. great news! i live in serendra and was quite disappointed when you moved to the 2nd location…the whole youve been there ive only visited twice. i think the location, ambiance and change of vendors was a bit of a turn off. im hoping for a better one this coming november!
