PABLO CHEESECAKE: Osaka’s Famous Cheese Tart Opens in Manila! @benchtm

Pablo Manila

The world famous Pablo from Osaka is now officially open in the Philippines!

Pablo is well known for their signature freshly-baked cheese tarts–deliciously soft and creamy treats that taste like no other cheese tart you’ve had before.

In addition to its classic cheese tart, the popular shop also carries a rich line of pastries, cheese puddings, cookies, drinks, and soft served ice cream.

Here’s what to expect at the newly opened Pablo Manila…

A lot of people are crazy for Pablo, and their flagship store in Shinsaibashi is a must-visit food stop whenever one is in Osaka.

Pablo Manila
The Manila store is located on the first floor of the Pedro Gil Wing of Robinsons Place Ermita, beside Costa Coffee.

We like the store design, which is inspired by an image of a cheese tart with a melting gooey center.

Pablo Manila
We love how you can watch the cheese tart production process as you wait in line to get your order.

It took time for Pablo to open here because they require the bakery to be in-store and their products to be baked on site to deliver unparalleled freshness.

Freshly Baked Cheese Tart (Regular – P599)

Our favorite is the classic cheese tart, a deliciously soft and creamy treat that melts in your mouth.

The crust was very tasty, the texture of the cheese was airy and velvety like we never had before, and the flavors were quite right.

The fresh tart was oozing with cheese! I personally prefer eating it when it’s cool, as you get an ice cream-like texture.

Trivia: Their cheesecakes are inspired by how you eat steak, where you get to choose how it’s cooked.

In Japan, they have two different levels of doneness–rare and medium rare. The rare is slightly soupy in texture, while the medium is firmer and has the more traditional cheesecake texture. Too bad they only sell the medium version in Manila.

Make sure to buy your cheesecakes early, as they tend to get sold out, especially the regular cheese tart.

Premium Cheese Tart (P799)

The premium cheese tart is made from two types of special cream cheese. It has a more crunchy surface and a rich, aromatic creme brulee flavor.

After tasting it, I personally prefer the classic glazed top version.

Pablo Manila
Freshly Baked Cheese Tart (Chocolate – P699)

Pablo’s chocolate cheese tarts are made from real chocolate batter and bits.

Pablo Manila

The chocolate version was quite heavy for us, but we liked how it had just the right amount of sweetness.

Pablo Manila

Freshly Baked Cheese Tart (Matcha – P699)

Matcha lovers will love the bittersweet taste mixed with the flavorful rich cream cheese. The tart version is filled with shiratama and azuki red bean paste, giving it that chewy texture.

Pablo Manila

Pablo Mini (Cheese, Matcha, Chocolate)

They also sell the Pablo mini, a bite-sized version of their tarts. It has a crispier, thicker, and golden-brown crust. Great for eating anywhere.

Pablo Manila
Sabrel Cheese (P499 – 9pcs)

One of my favorite products you can take home is their sabrel cheese cookies, filled with gouda cheese.

It’s quite light and creamy and perfect for pairing with wine!

Pablo Manila

They also have the Sabrel Cheese Matcha and the Black Sabrel made of truffle salt and bamboo charcoal.

Pablo Manila

Golden Brulee Cheese Pudding (P999 – 6 pcs)

I also suggest you get your hands on their pudding, which is silky, cold, and slightly sweet.

Pablo Manila

We enjoyed eating this delightful dessert as we poured and sprinkled the caramel sauce on the brulee.

Pablo Manila

Soft Served Ice Cream (Cheese, Matcha Cheese – P150)

They also have soft served ice cream. You can really taste the thick and creamy cheese in it.

Pablo Manila

Matcha Latte (P190)

To complete the Osaka experience, order their Matcha Latte with a very strong matcha flavor.

Pablo Manila

Other products include the Pablo Chocolate Crunch Cheese Tart Flavor (P699), Pablo Drip Coffee (P400)

Pablo Manila

Cheese Mill-fuelle (P499/9pcs), Chocolate Mill-fuelle (P499/9pcs), Cheese Mill-fuelle matcha (P499/9pcs)

Pablo Manila

Pablo Frute (Classic Cheese tart), Pablo Frute (Special Chocolate), Pablo Frute (Rich Mango), Pablo Frute (Rich Berry), and Pablo Frute (Matcha and Shiratama) (P350)

Pablo Manila

Overall, we loved our Pablo Manila experience!

Thank you and congratulations to Ben Chan’s Group (Suyen Corporation) for bringing Pablo to the Philippines!
