Finally, we were able to try out Neo Spa in their original place in Greenhills — Thanks to Jay and Portia 🙂 This is our first time in Neo Spa, and we tried out the Zen Bodywork — Neo Spa’s signature massage. For the first time, my wife and I was able to have a spa together and a massage for 90 minutes. If you have a 10 month old son, you know how hard it is to schedule a spa massage together because this would be the last thing on your mind. Here is our experience…
It was great that Neo Spa have a couple room despite the narrow hall ways and small massage rooms. This was a pleasant surprise so that we can really have our massage together. The Zen Bodywork is an integration of the traditional concept and techniques of shiatsu with western osteophathic and therapeutic massage (according to the brochure). This 90 minutes massage is a combination of dry shiatsu massage and occassional swedish with oil.
The massage was just OK, and Neo Spa would be considered a mid-tier spa where a 60 minutes shiatsu or swedish massage would only costs P500. I’ve been going to a lot of these spas, and my criteria to judge if the massage is good are:
(1). It is soo good that you will sleep throughout the massage.
(2). The stretches would give your bone a cracking sound.
(3). The pressure is perfect when you do not feel that the person is trying so hard or the person is just touching you.
In the case of Neo, lets just say, they do not meet all the good massage criteria and I won’t go back for more. I might however try their reflexology using the ingham method 🙂
