@NBACaféManila: The Best Place to Watch the NBA Playoffs in Manila! @SMAuraPremier

NBA CAFE Manila-5.jpg
NBA Café is an NBA-themed American sports bar and grill, the first of its kind outside the US. It’s a partnership between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Haute Couture F&B Concepts that features NBA memorabilia and a community hall where you can watch NBA games together with other NBA fanatics.

Check out NBA Cafe @ SM Aura Premiere, especially now that the NBA Playoffs are on!

NBA CAFE Manila-4.jpg
You enter into a community hall area with a large 9-panel viewing screen of the NBA games.

There’s a bar area where you can hang out when all the tables are already occupied.

This is the long side of the restaurant with a nice window view of Taguig, with more private nooks and their own TV screens on top.

Here’s a P140,000 LeBron james autographed and hand-painted Spalding ball. The inscription reads:

Since taking the NBA by storm in 2003, LeBron James quickly reached the top of the elite players in the league. Besides being known for his all around game, fans have become accustomed to LeBron James’ signature pregame powder toss at half court. Artist Jolene Jessie was commissioned to hand paint James in his blue Miami uniform on an NBA basketball doing his signature powder toss.

This extremely limited (6 pcs.) LeBron James signed basketball is guaranteed 100% authentic by virtue of Upper Deck’s Five-Step Authentication Process.

The basketball images are energizing and NBA fans would love dining here.

You can reserve this end of the NBA Cafe if you want added privacy and your own TV screen.

Love the wall of Jerseys! Can you name all the great NBA players that used them?

NBA CAFE Manila-33.jpg
Near the bar is a corner table good for 4-5 persons if you need a more secluded dining experience.

NBA CAFE Manila-27.jpg
Roasted Tomato Soup (P150 +10% service charge) served with a grilled 3-cheese sandwich.

Our friend ordered the soup, which is OK for a light meal.

NBA CAFE Manila-30.jpg
Baby Back Pork Ribs (P560 – Half +10% service charge) with a spicy Texas BBQ sauce or sweet Kansas City BBQ Sauce, served with corn and sauteed vegetables.

The baby back ribs were highly recommended.

NBA CAFE Manila-31.jpg
The meat was tough and not fall-off-the-bone as you would normally expect.

NBA CAFE Manila-38.jpg
Hickory Smoked Bacon and Beef Burger (P385 +10% service charge)

The burger was a bit bland.

NBA CAFE Manila-7.jpg

Overall, NBA Café Manila is a great place to eat for NBA fanatics or families with kids who are passionate about basketball.

The food is a bit bland so don’t expect too much. Maybe we ordered the wrong food. Do you have any recommendations on what to order next time?

Budget P500/head for food and drinks while hanging out to watch the games.

  1. Thanks to your post, I was able to find out that they have a table that’s close to Dirk Nowitzki’s photo. Definitely requesting for that when I visit.
By the way, this isn’t the first time I read a review that said that the food is bland. That’s a letdown, considering the price.

  2. NBA Cafe Manila, which is managed and operated locally by Haute Couture F&B Concepts Inc., has decided to stop its operations starting January 31, 2017. My son’s birthday party at their restaurant is less than two weeks away, and they informed me via e-mail about the closure on January 24 only.

Can anyone share with me any contact information of NBA’s PH and global/regional offices that handles the NBA Cafe brand, so that I can send them my complaint?

    Thanks!
