For over eight years, Marriott Manila has been a committed partner to Red Cross Philippines through its bi-annual donation drives, community outreach, and feeding programs.
Last August 2, Marriott Manila hosted a Thanksgiving Gala to celebrate their partnership milestone with Philippine Red Cross.
30 head chefs from Marriott hotels across Asia Pacific flew in and collaborated for a world-class 5-course dinner, and as the culmination of their 2017 Chefs Conference in Manila.

To kickstart the spread, we had the Sustainable Tiger Prawn Kilawin with Coconut Calamansi Dressing and Fresh Herb Salad.
Followed by a warm Mushroom Consomme topped with Polenta Stick. It’s always fascinating to see how chefs can turn something so familiar like mushroom soup to something more high-end in the form of a consomme.
For the pasta entree, we had Tortelli di Zucca with Cauliflower Truffle Puree and Parmesan. It seems that the truffle craze isn’t going away anytime soon, it brings an ordinary dish to another gastronomic level.
A generous serving of US Prime Tenderloin adorned with organic vegetables was served soon after.
To cap off the meal, we had this masterpiece of a dessert. Modestly described as Yuzu, Hazelnut, and Mango but the execution and the marriage of taste and texture were phenomenal.

Marriott Hotel Manila knows how to spoil its partners and guests with delightful food. The 30 chefs were not just flown-in to cook dinner for all these guests – they were here for more than just that.
Before the Thanksgiving Gala, they spent three days full of workshops and culture immersion hosted by the Manila Team.

Not only that, but the chefs also teamed up with celebrities and social media influencers to create a Filipino dish to be featured on Marriott Manila’s soon-to-open restaurant in NAIA Terminal 3.
