Cucina Gayuma’s Laing Pasta

The name Cucina Gayuma intrigued us for some time now. We were hoping to try it sooner but it was closed on a Monday when we visited the area. Gayuma is a filipino term for love potion or food that will make you fall in love with a person. In a sense, the Gayuma term is misleading because the food is actually experimental meals on Filipino fusion. Gayuma is used to refer to food that seduces your senses. I remember that there was a Gayuma restaurant before (in Katipunan?) but this one is not related to it.

So far, Delifrance is the best food available in NAIA Terminal 3. A sandwich would cost anywhere from Php 120-Php 240. We would order it to go and bring it to the airplane with us. Yes, you can eat on the airplane as long as the tray tables are stowed during take off.

Here is an awesome tip for you. If you are in Serendra on Wednesdays 9pm, why not attend the Comedy Cartel’s Open Mic Session for FREE at Kape Isla? They would usually try new jokes in this open mic session so it would be fun. You’ll get to see Mike Unson bomb on some jokes. I brought my family last Wednesday at Kape Isla, and Mike Unson is the only comic who was able to make my Mom laugh. Of course, the rest of the gang were great as usual.

If you have been playing badminton in the Zone area, then you would have noticed the newly opened Makati outlet of JT’s Manukan. After eating inasal, you can hop on to Rocci’s coffee and chocolate cafe beside it. Bacolod Chicken Inasal Express is still the best versus the commercialized version of JT Manukan. Since JT Manukan has an open kitchen, just notice that all the chicken are half-cooked already. This makes the chicken dry versus grilling the chicken raw. It is still a good alternative specially if you want to taste other Bacolod treats like Kansi and Batchoy.
