Living in the south, we always wanted to have a staycation in the middle of the foodie area of Tomas Morato/Timog Area.
We celebrated Joshua’s birthday with a B Hotel QC Steakcation, and here are some tips on how to have an awesome staycation with the family at this modern hotel in the northern part of the metro.
First Things First
B Hotel QC is a bit hidden. Located in the mixed residential and commercial neighborhood of Sct. Rallos, it’s literally walking distance to the best places in the area.

The lobby is quite spacious, overlooking the street scene of Scout Rallos.
Room 801
We stayed in the 1-Bedroom Suite (52.2sqm) with a spacious work area, open kitchen and living/playroom.
It’s located on the 8th floor so it has a nice view of the neighborhood and the QC skyline.
It has a king bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room to accommodate a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
I like having a spacious desk, a nice closet space and an in-room safe that can fit a laptop.
The bathroom has a separate shower, toilet and sink area and…
…most importantly, a bathtub for the kids.
We always bring the PlayStation and bring or order food for family bonding time during staycations. (B Hotel QC In-Room Menu)
Room 802
What’s awesome about room 801 is that you can connect it to room 802 for the kid’s room and enclose it with the hallway door.
We requested for an extra bed to make it a room good for the 4 boys, with their own bathroom.
Facilities
Kids can have fun at the infinity pool area (I just wished that it was not heavily chlorinated).
Gym facilities are always good. Someday, we will do a family workout session.
They have a tent area for events and different function rooms for corporate or celebratory affairs.
Buffet breakfast is comforting and maaliwalas with the high ceiling and the street view.
There’s entertainment at night so you can have a nightcap with friends.
Check out their special buffets during festive celebrations. I always love their Filipino food section.
Full Body Massage (₱600 nett) from 3:00 pm to 1:00am
Best of all you, can have a midnight in-room massage then sleep the night away.
Johnny’s Steak & Grill
What’s awesome about B Hotel QC is their affordable steakhouse in the street level of the hotel.
You can enjoy a steakcation with your kid who loves steaks to celebrate his milestone.
Prime Rib-Eye (₱1,300) 220 grams with Mac & Cheese (₱100)
Joshua is picky with his food, but he loves steak so this rib-eye is just for the birthday boy.
Upper-Choice T-Bone Steak Certified Angus Beef (₱2,500). 450 grams with Mashed Potato (₱80) and Red Wine (₱280/glass, ₱1,400/bottle)
Steak quality is good for its price, but make sure to have it cooked medium rare or medium and to order a nice red wine.
You have salmon options if you do not like meat. Just make sure to order it medium also (not well-done).
Ube Cake ( ₱180/ slice)
The cakes are decent but a bit too sweet and dense.
The Steakcation experience was just the perfect celebration for a kid who likes hotel stays and steak.
B Hotel Alabang
B Hotel Alabang is a 4-star business hotel in the Madrigal Business Park area in Alabang, catering mostly to corporates. Staycations are quite limited because you need to go to nearby Bellevue to enjoy the pool.

Room 1202
The standard rooms (26 – 29 sqm) have twin beds or a king size bed with a neat working area, a decent internet connection and a view.
The bathrooms are also standard—clean with hot and cold showers.
The 12th floor Penthouse Suite is a spacious (47 – 51 sqm) one-bedroom suite with a king size bed and…
…living room with the best views of the city plus a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, induction cooker and microwave.
Breakfast is quite good, especially the Filipino and the noodle soup stations.
B Hotel Alabang’s Pork Humba is the best. Check out their Filipino ala carte menu.
Final Thoughts
The family enjoyed the B Hotel QC stay because of the 2-bedroom suite set-up, the steak celebration at Johnny’s, and the proximity to all the events and happening places in the Tomas Morato/Timog Area. The lobby ambiance is maaliwalas with a young vibe.
We love how they are not using PET water bottles anymore. Instead, they have Crystal Clear automated water filling station for your water. The Filipino Food at the B Hotels we stayed in is quite good during breakfast and special buffet.
Room for improvement or caution:
– The pool was just a bit highly chlorinated, and you could smell the chlorine on your skin even after the shower.
– The table in the living room of the bedroom suite was nice but made of lightweight materials so be careful if you have a toddler who wants to go up and down the tables.
– The desserts were a bit too sweet, and we wished they have better pastry selections.
What’s best about B Hotel? The staff’s Filipino hospitality is one of the best we experienced during our staycations. They have a welcoming smile, an accommodating attitude and a helpful demeanor in everything they do. Awesome thank you!
