The flagship SM Aura branch recently was awarded the Thai SELECT Authentic Seal of approval, which means they source their ingredients from Thailand, they have a Thai chef ensuring quality in the kitchen, and they provide the Royal Thai Brand of hospitality.
We tried Greyhound Cafe Philippines three times already, and these are our favorites.
ABOUT GREYHOUND CAFE
From Fashion to food, Thailand’s Greyhound Cafe is more than just a Thai restaurant.
Like Bangkok, Greyhound Café offers a Taste of Modern Contradictions and Chili Fish Sauce, Flair with Creative Chaos Where East Meets West, Traditional Meets International, Street Meets Couture, all fused together in a beautiful chaotic way.
It is modern Bangkok served on a plate to be explored and enjoyed.
With the aim to uplift Thai food with a twist, Greyhound Café has collaborated with Viva International Food and Restaurants, Inc., by bringing Bangkok’s favorite restaurant to the Philippines. The first ever Greyhound Café PH store opened last February 6, 2022 at SM Aura Premier, Taguig.
Greyhound Café now has a network of more than 40 stores around Asia and as far as London to put Thai food on the global stage.
Thai Ambassador to the Philippines Tull Traisorat awarded the Thai Select certificate to Viva Foods VP Maria Lourdes De Castro last August, 18, 2022 at Greyhound Philippines SM Aura Branch.

I remember during my first time at Greyhound Cafe I didn’t know what to order because the menu was so extensive and everything looked good in their magazine-type menu. After going back to the restaurant three-times in a span of 6 months, here are our faves.
GREYHOUND CAFE FOOD
Not your usual starting Thai appetizer, but the quality of the salmon and the spicy lime sauce are just perfect to start your Greyhound Cafe journey.
This is very addicting—crispy bone wings, not too oily and marinated in a nice Thai fish sauce.
DIY lettuce wrap with noodle sheet, minced pork and green chili sauce. Loved this interactive healthy appetizer that kids can also enjoy.
One of our favorites because of the thick curry sauce where you can dip the roti bread.
If you were to order rice, indulge in this garlic fried rice topped with lots of crab meat.
Rache loved these chunks of meat served on a cucumber and topped with pesto sauce and basil leaves. It was a good way to enjoy the meat without the carbs. Good pasalubong for your loved ones at home.
Unapologetically spicy. Light sour soup with tiger prawns and fat rice noodles in it.
Their pad thai was good too. It was served with additional sugar, chili, lime, and fish sauce to balance the flavor. Always finish with a fresh zest of lime to bring out the flavors.
A complete meal with som tum, pandan rice, and grilled turmeric chicken with jaew sauce.
Order the grilled red snapper for something healthy and special for your meal.
DRINKS & DESSERTS
Good balanced flavor; you can still taste the tea with the milk. Add bubbles if you like.
The kids loved this fruity yogurt shake.
Sometimes, you just want to indulge in a good soda float with the kids on your cheat day.
Your classic Thai mango sticky rice dessert served a la mode with coconut ice cream and milk.
For something bubbly and sour, drink this to enjoy and refresh the palate.
Thai milk tea in mille crepe form with layers of thin pancakes and fresh cream.
For something happy, fruity and sunny, try the passion fruit cake.
Buko cake with young coconut meat and fresh cream in between the crepes.
We love tiramisu. This was served in cake form with the usual tiramisu ingredients.
Sometimes you just want to end with a good chocolate cake.
Overall, we love the modern Thai food concept with a creative twist that still stays true to the flavors and uses Thai ingredients as certified by the Thai SELECT seal. I must admit I never really understood the modern Thai concept until after my third visit.
I would go back for the Famous Fried Chicken Wings, Beef Massamun Curry, Weeping Hunters, GHC Fiery Bowl, The Famous Muay Thai Grilled Chicken and Fried Tons of Crab Meat with Rice. The kids loved the playful drinks, parfaits and cakes. Budget about ₱800/head.
Congratulations to Greyhound Cafe Philippines for getting awarded with the Thai Select certification. They are opening at malls near you—The Podium, SM Mall of Asia, and Powerplant Mall in Rockwell.

P.S. Congrats! It was impressive how the Thai Ambassador himself awarded the Thai SELECT certificate. We can learn a lot from our Thailand brothers on how particular they are when it comes to quality and the experience of the Thai brand with the five senses. Galing!
