The Good Body by Eve Ensler (creator of Vagina Monologues)

NEW VOICE COMPANY PREMIERES EVE ENSLER’S “THE GOOD BODY” The New Voice Company, fresh from its success in Singapore with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love, premieres a brand new, provocative, hilarious play at the Music Museum on November 10 and 11 – Eve Ensler’s THE GOOD BODY. … THE GOOD BODY talks about our tortured relationships with our weight, body image and self-acceptance – with voices of women from L.A. to Kabul : A young Latina candidly critiques her humiliating “spread”, a stubborn layer of fat that she calls “a second pair of thighs”. … Along the way, Eve also introduces us to women who have found a hard-won peace with their bodies: an African mother who celebrates each individual body as a sign of nature’s diversity, and Indian woman who delights in her curves.

Tokyo Cafe in Manila?

By

This is the kind of reliability that you need from a mall specially during times of crisis 🙂 Aside from this, we love MOA because of its family oriented design where you can find play/ game houses for the kids in every corner and very good shopping places for my wife. … We haven’t tried Bed Scenes, but the food i hear is not that good (please let me know if you hear otherwise). … I’m sure there is no Tokyo cafe in Tokyo and this would be a Manila version of what a Tokyo cafe would look and taste like.

Hope After Milenyo

I was in our building in Makati when the storm hit Manila, and entire building shook due to the intensity of the storm. … During this time, there is still no electricity and most of Metro Manila’s power was restored only last Sunday, October 1.
…The Jollibee store along Diosdado Macapagal was also open for business and I surprised my wife with a Longganisa breakfast when she woke up 🙂 The generator in our building is still functioning with limited capacity to supply the elevators and outside utility outlets.

Aloha Polu Kai!

I did not know what to expect when we would say Hawaiian food but you could imagine how the ambiance would feel like. I think this is the first time I’ve eaten in a Hawaiian restaurant so I don’t know if it really should be hot and spicy or is it a fusion of western and asian food. … Soup, Salads and Appetizers Grilled and Main Courses Pizza, Sidings and Desserts BTW, just a word of caution, I’ve eaten in most of the Serendra restaurants and you should expect about 20% premium in most of the restaurants here.

Cupcakes+Sonja: Opening Nights

By

Sonja is getting a lot of trials and repeat customers which signifies that this is a start of something good 🙂 The place is quite homey with the retro bakeshop feel to it which I believe, perfectly matches with the Serendra concept.
…One of my blog post about Sonja’s has been framed and posted on the wall 🙂 When I asked Sonja for a free copy of the press kit with the CD, I asked her to autograph my press kit copy (naks). … Btw, I only get to know Sonja through my blog and the first time I met her was when I ordered a dozen of the assorted cupcakes .

Mezzaluna-First Night High!

By

The Chef Miguels (Carlo + brother, Anton who is now in Australia), are famous at one time for catering to special events/ occasions and they usually cooked at the venue itself (could be your own home). I had many failed attempts in the past to schedule such events with these Chefs, and that is why I was so curious to check them out when they opened Mezzaluna in Serendra.
…My wife can’t get enough of it, but we have to be extra careful of the calories that comes with it 🙂 The Angus beef was OK and I had a mistake of ordering medium well which turned out to be well done.

Gary V– Still the best after 23 years!

By

We watched the last show last Sept. 8 and all the Gary V fans out there would agree that after 23 years, Gary V. still has that magic. … In the particular photo above, the rectangular LCD screens transformed into large speakers as Gary and son, Gaby danced passionately to the song “Di Bale Na Lang.”
…This was a cool treat from Gary singing “Huwag mo na Sana” with his daughter, Keana Valenciano as back-up vocals in the background video.
