The Day After Christmas in the Philippines
Like most of Filipino families, we would spend Christmas alternating between the mother-side of the family and the father-side. This Christmas, both of our parents are in the US for the first time so we celebrated Christmas with our siblings and cousins.
…Mrs. and Miss Santa Claus 🙂 Over to our family side, we had a family reunion with my mother-side cousins from Laguna. … Christmas for Aidan meant opening his gifts, play time with Papa and NO computer time 🙂 The Day after Christmas with new toys and happy family memories…
Happy Christmas and the Tallest Christmas Tree in Puerto Princesa
The Christmas Tree in Puerto Princesa is probably one of the tallest we have ever seen in the Phlippines standing at 112 feet with 20,000 lights. It was created by Mayor Hagedorn of Puerto Princesa. Every year, they are committed to add 10 feet to the height of the tree.
…The tallest Christmas tree in Puerto Princesa is located along the Bay Walk.
5. Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum
Kids just love airplanes. They would often point them out happily when they see them up in the sky. The only place where you can actually see and enter an airplane/ helicopter for educational fun is the Aerospace Museum of the Philippine Air Force beside Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
After roaming the museum, your kid can feast his eyes on the outdoor display of commercial planes, air force planes, and helicopters.
6. Playa Calatagan
Playa Calatagan Beach is an ideal place for a family with toddlers. The beach gradually slopes for a few meters and the water level is just shallow enough for kids to play without the risk of drowning. (But, of course, never leave your children alone.) The beach’s fine white sand is clean — a perfect setting for a nice picnic with kids.
