Holy Land Pilgrimage: Following the Footsteps of Jesus (Photo Essay)

About 85% of Filipinos are Christians and the Philippines is considered to be the 6th largest Christian country in the world. Which is why it only makes sense that a lot of Filipinos dreams of visiting the land of the Bible. To some, traveling to the holy land is considered to be the final step … Continue reading Holy Land Pilgrimage: Following the Footsteps of Jesus (Photo Essay)

God is waiting for us at the Kerygma Conference…

I attended the very first Kerygma Conference in 2007 when I was at a crossroad in my career. I was praying to God to find my passion and purpose in life. I was torn between continuing a career with a company that I love in P&G Philippines or to pursue my blog Our Awesome Planet … Continue reading God is waiting for us at the Kerygma Conference…

10 Holiness Imperatives for Young Filipino Families (A Pope Francis Visit Reflection) @Pontifex

(Text by Anton Diaz, Photos by Rich Estuesta of DV Tech)  Christ’s message was clear and profound during Pope Francis’ visit. This long Papal Visit weekend was like a retreat, to reflect on the important things in life, especially in the family. The timing was perfect, and I felt like he was speaking to us parents on how … Continue reading 10 Holiness Imperatives for Young Filipino Families (A Pope Francis Visit Reflection) @Pontifex

Heaven is for Real and the Prince of Peace!

I believe that there is Heaven because of our Catholic faith. But after reading these two books on the stories of two young persons’ personal encounters with Heaven, it became really real for me. I accepted it as a fact rather than just depending on blind faith about its existence. The story of  3-year-old Colton Burpo’s … Continue reading Heaven is for Real and the Prince of Peace!

My Days with the Lord…

Admittedly, I entertained the thought of backing out the last minute last Friday to watch the opening night of The Wedding Singer instead of attending Yuppie Days with the Lord. I thought it would be a corny retreat designed for High School students and it would be “an Atenean thing”. Good thing, He prevailed 🙂

The End Times by Fr. Bill Halbing (Kerygma Conference 2008)

Fr. Bill Halbing’s talks and homily touched me a lot. He is a parish priest of St. Andrews Parish in Newark, New Jersey. He is known for his insightful and down-to earth homilies laced with humor. Although not a Filipino, he always proclaims that he is a Filipino at heart. The Pre-Recorded US Stream above is his homily about the Signs of the End Times (starting from the Third sign).
