I travelled to Bohol to do a research on what an Ultimate Tour of Bohol would be. I only planned to spend two (2) days to explore the Chocolate Hills tourist route and Panglao Island. Unfortunately due to airplane flight constraints, I had to extend my stay for another day. I knew that I don’t have anything else to do on the third day except wait for the boarding time for my flight back to Manila.
I attended the Kerygma Conference 2007 with Aidan last November entitled ” You have the Power! Nourished. Empowered. Unleashed. ” I was so blessed that it led me to my Independence Day decision and to pursue my dreams. I don’t want you to miss the 2008 Kerygma Conference entitled “Awaken the Miracle in You!”
On 8-8-08, instead of watching the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, I witnessed the launching of the new GK Designer Village (GK 2.0) by Tony Meloto and the grand vision for Taguig 2.0 by Mayor Freddie R. Tiñga!
“In 2005, using the very latest digital photographic reproduction techniques, the Shroud has been recreated– in life-size form on backlit and full-size transparencies, on full life-size digital prints and in both positive and negative formats, along with many close-ups of the individual detail of the man on the Shroud—and all these were exhibited in New Zealand for the first time.”
…You will be tempted NOT to go to this exhibit either because of its P250 entrance fee or you’ll conclude that this is just one of Henry Sy’s gimmick to bring in traffic to the SM malls.
… After enlightening New Zealand, the exhibit’s journey continues in the Philippines – the only predominantly Christian nation in Southeast Asia—as the country plays host to this very special exhibit that allows visitors to journey with the Shroud’s history, discover the facts and myths behind the Shroud, and unravel the mystery behind this treasured piece.
Now is the time for us to reconcile with the Lord. Now is the time for us to reconcile with our family.
If a repentant sinner prays the Chaplet for himself even just once, God will also be merciful to him because Jesus says that He will stand between the sinner and His Father upon that person’s death.
…Stanley’s testimony is also supported by 22 bishops and 2 cardinals in the Philippines as well as various Church leaders throughout the world including the late Pope John Paul II (who during his lifetime was promoting the Divine Mercy devotion and fulfilled the vision of Saint Faustina in the 1930s by declaring the first Sunday after Easter as the Divine Mercy Sunday in 2000; Pope John Paul II incidentally died on the eve of the Divine Mercy Sunday in 2005). … In the same way, we should receive the Sacraments through the priest (a sinner ordained by God) who is God’s instrument and view him through his priesthood, not through his sins to receive the graces our Lord wants us to receive.
So when I hear the announcement last Sunday that he will be giving the 7 last words today, there is no doubt in my mind that it would be the best 7 last words that I would have ever listened to.
…When Jesus said “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me”, He was not complaining but actually praying (psalm 22) to find that inner strength to overcome his loneliness on the cross.
…When Jesus said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”, He was offering His life to God proclaiming that He was able to fulfill God’s will and save us from our sins by dying on the cross.
