Cyrille Soenen, nicknamed Cicou (pronounced as “see-sue”), decided to open his own French Bistro restaurant after his Executive Chef stint at the Crowne Plaza. He is known for creating the interactive buffet of Seven Corners and his foie gras creations. Most of the food writers and popular chefs in Manila would say that he is the best French chef in town.

Personally, the Atalyer’s Bento Box is the winner of the Battle of the 2009 planners. I like its nationalistic concept, its message of encouragement, hope, change and its Pinoy design. The only turn-off is that the Atalyer logo is prominently printed all over the stationery set like it was an Atalyer giveaway.

Pansit Batil-Patong of Tuguegarao

The Tuguegarao Pansit is called Batil-Patong. The main ingredients are pansit miki Tuguegarao, cara beef, togue with an egg on top. Our Batil-Patong has these two slices of red hotdog as accent on top of the pansit. The miki is freshly made in Tuguegarao.
