A Charley’s Weekend Food Trip cum Foodie EB [Best of Charley’s Series 1]

By

I can’t believe that we are in Lipa, Batangas and we have to thank Charley Leviste- Antonio’s family for opening up their gorgeous Lipa farm / house on weekends to the public. … We were also limited by the maximum allowable at Charley’s which is 20, so we can’t invite as much people to this food trip. … As for the food, everybody agrees that the Fresh tomato soup and the Crepe Suzette cooked in front of you with the aroma embracing the entire room are the hands down killer food.

Abaseria, Spanish for Sari Sari Store [Cebu Culinary Adventures #1]

By

I know this was perfect for my wife and friend, jewelry shopping in an exotic restaurant hidden in one of the Villa Aurora residences in Cebu City. Abaseria is spanish for Sari Sari Store; the concept of the restaurant is that it is home to different food delicacies and cuisine from Ilocos Norte, to Manila, and to the different provinces in Visayas.
…But since we are walk-ins and from Manila (I think), we had to seat in this long table for sharing and expect that people pass by behind you all the time.

Roshan’s Lemon Torte

By

When eaten, the walnuts shatter in the mouth, giving way to the meringue’s subtle crunch of complaint before melting on the tongue in a sea of sweet, releasing a dazzling tang of lemon.
…” Roshan’s lemon torte is the real thing: no soggy layers of meringue and no lack of nuts that have been crushed to a fare-thee-well. … The lemon curd is true to its essence, with just enough butter and yolks to round out the sweetness and bite.” (see: Roshan’s Lemon Torte by Lori, dessercomesfirst.blogspot.com )

Balducci Birthday Bash

By

We might just plan a grand celebration on his 4th or 7th year 🙂 I actually told my wife that I prefer to celebrate it with family and if possible to just travel during his birthday. … I preferred the China Palace place but it would be far away from most family members and it was a little bit expensive. When we saw the second floor area of Balducci, we thought that this would be a nice cozy place for the family birthday dinner.
