Kublai’s Rock is Back!

What interests me in this place is the all-you-can-eat Mongolian Buffet that my wife and I have been craving for the past years after our favorite mongolian restaurant along Mile Long closed down, no other restaurant here in manila have been able to fulfill this craving.
…    This was part of the original Kublai’s Rock concept, black placemats telling the story of the famous Asian emperor: ” Kublai Khan, grandson of the great Genghis Khan, & first cousin of Rod Stewart, was the undisputed master of Mongolia, Lord of all the people dwelling in felt tents, and Chief of the Hells Angels of California. … I would just go for the tried and tested combination of Oyster Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce, Sweet Chili, with lots of Garlic 🙂 At some point, my wife and I would have a contest of the best tasting Mongolian and every time that I would mix my own ingredient, somehow, I would like my wife’s concoction better than mine.

This is indeed a “flourishing” resto as its name suggest in greek, and anybody can attest that the food is great 🙂 Although the food are a bit on the expensive side and not to mention that they increased the prices by 10% in their mall outlet. … (Note: only on weekdays 🙂 But Edsa Shang gave me enough good reason to brave the Edsa traffic and park on the 6th floor cinema level with its steep long winding road just to enjoy the dishes of Cyma.
…You know what, this is really a perfect place for a Father’s day celebration on June 18, and after a Cyma meal we’ll give our father’s day gift of a ringside ticket to the Pacquiao – Larios Fight on July 2.

Although if you are tired of always eating at Gloria Maris or Emerald Garden for that special occasion, maybe you might want to try out the new Legend Hongkong Seafood Restaurant in Boom na Boom complex in CCP. … I’ll tell you that they are a great critique about chinese food (they know what good chinese food is) and they can certify that the food was cooked by what my father-in-law calls as a Hongkong Boy 🙂 Overall if you are looking for a good cantonese Hongkong-style chinese food, your budget is P300/head and you are escaping the madness in Mall of Asia, then it is worth to try out The Legend Hongkong Seafood Restaurant in CCP.
…:) By the way, my wife saw one of her relatives eating in this place also and it is a good sign that this is a good chinese restaurant.

I always knew that Binondo has a lot to offer aside from the all time favorite Eng Bee Tin Hopia stop, or eating in the exotic Estero, or grabing a quick chinese fix from your chinese fast food chain like tasty dumpling or the usual President chinese meal.
